Individual Project#

The Individual Project for ENGR 13300 gives you the opportunity to bring part of your dream project to life using the computational skills you have built during this course. This project is where the last two components of the honors version of the course come in.

The first part of the honors course has you add some additional components to this project. These are:

  1. Second New Concept (5 pts): Use a second module, library, or feature of MATLAB or Python that we have NOT used or seen in ENGR 13300. Ask the instructional team if you are unsure whether your concept extends what we have learned so far.

  2. GUI Inclusion (3 pts): Your program should include a Graphical User Interface (GUI), meaning that the user interacts with the code outside of the terminal.

  3. GUI Elements (12 pts, 3 pts each): Include at least four GUI elements/widgets. These can include, but are not limited to:

    • Buttons

    • Radio buttons

    • Slider scales

    • Checkboxes

    • Spinners

The second part of the honors content is an addendum to your Individual Project Report. This addendum has you expand on the ideas created in your project by reimagining it as a team project, including 2 checkpoints and a final demonstration. You will need to think about how to break your project up into smaller tasks. Think about how you started your project, which functions you created, and how you visualize the result of your project.
