Team Project
The Team Project for ENGR 13300 will have you work with your team to create a program
that prepares and classifies images into two categories using various machine learning
techniques. In addition to the base project, honors students will expand their learning
to reflect on their experience working on a large-scale team project.
The project is broken into three parts, called Checkpoint 1, Checkpoint 2, and
Checkpoint 3. There is an honors assignment to accompany each of these parts. For
Checkpoints 1 and 2, your tasks will be to reflect on teamwork, how your team
specifically has been functioning, and how you as a team could improve your coding
skills and teaming skills. We will also have you set some goals for your team for the
coming weeks.
Your Checkpoint 3 task will have you work in new teams with other honors students to
demonstrate your project and reflect on the experience by creating a short video. Your
teams will consist of 3-5 other honors students in the course who may or may not be in
your section, depending on the distribution of honors students in a given semester.
