5.2. Indianapolis#

There are many activities you should be doing for your own professional development as an engineering student beyond our traditional courses. In ENGR 13300, we are including three types of experiences in the course assignments. The three types of experiences are mentioned in Table 5.13

Participate in two activities that include attending a callout, going to job fairs or career presentations and going to hear speakers on campus. These can help you decide on a future career as well as helping you learn about opportunities for your future.

The Purdue community is very diverse. Experiencing that diversity will help you to grow as people and prepare yourselves to be leaders in our global economy and community.

Points Distribution

Each activity is worth \(20\) points for a total of \(100\) points. See Table 5.14 for the individual breakdown. The reflection for each activity will be graded as described in Reflection Rubrics.

Reflection Rubrics

The \(2\) Major Exploration Activities, \(2\) Personal Activities, and the Cultural Experience activity must have a reflection in a three paragraph format as described in Table 5.15. The reflections are each worth \(20\) points and are graded according to the rubric in Table 5.16.
