Career Exploration (EYM)#

There are \(3\) groups of EYM’s, and you are expected to attend \(1\) EYM from each group. See Table 9 below for the information on which schools belong to which group.

Table 9 Engineering Your Major (EYM) Groups#

Groups

Engineering Schools

A

AGE, BIOE, CEM, EEE, ENRE, NE

B

CE, IE, MSE, MDE/IDE, CHE

C

AAE, BME, ECE, ME

Note

Attendance is taken at the presentations by the engineering schools through a quiz on Brightspace. You must have your attendance recorded for full points.

Signing Up for Events#

Space in each EYM event is limited. To earn the attendance points, you must

  1. register for events in advance, and

  2. attend the events and record your attendance.

Instructions:

  1. Make sure you are added to the FYE - EYMs - Engineering Your Major course on Brightspace.

  2. Register for the events that you’d like to attend by using the EGO Registration Link. To sign in to EGO, use your Purdue login and Career Account password.

  3. Attend the event. Events are held at a variety of locations across campus. Make sure you know the location and time of your events. You will not be admitted to the event if you arrive late.

  4. Record your attendance using the quiz conducted at the event. If you face any issues, inform the GTA present at the event, at the end of the event.

Note

If you cannot attend an event you registered for, go to EGO and remove yourself from the group for that event 24 hours BEFORE the event.

Please let your GTA or Instructor know if you have any questions or issues.
